Customized Educational Programs

Journeys offers its expertise to create custom workshops and training for your group or leadership team.

If your church, school, or organization has considered the benefits of a rite of passage program for your youth, Journeys can help. We have consulted with a wide variety of groups to help create programs of integrity and high value. These programs help children and youth to become more self-confident, self-aware young adults, and prepare parents and communities to welcome the initiated ones back into their midst in appropriate, healthy ways. Our programs are designed to build intergenerational partnerships and strengthen communities.

Journeys also consults with therapists, educators and smaller organizations. Weekend programs can be custom designed for the group’s unique needs: to augment a therapeutic group process, build cooperative communities through team-building skills, or provide presentations on leading rites of passage. These might include wilderness experiences, initiation games, ritual, drumming and storytelling. The design and duration fit your specific needs, and might last from one hour to several days.
