Gear Drive 2009!
Looking for a way that you can give to Journeys this year? With the recent increase in scholarshipped participants (66% of our 2008 youth participants recieved financial aid) we are hoping to create a solid Gear Rental system.
Here is the list of items that we will be accepting during our gear drive this spring (please bring items that are in good or great condition -- if you have questions about whether or not your item is appropriate contact either Tara or Emily at the office, (425) 485-7396.

We are open to other gear that you can find on our Participant Gear List too, such as: Sports Whistle, 8 x 10 Tarps, Large "Group" Tarps, Collapsable Trekking Poles, Rubbermaid Totes (24 gallon-ish), and Coolers. Or call us with your other ideas -- the above items mostly serve individual participants but Journeys also has a Group Gear list (including Stoves, Cooking Pots, Collapsable Water Buckets, etc.)
Come check out our new Gear room when you drop off your slightly used gear on May 2nd, between 10 am and 2 pm! We are in the process of developing a wonderful Gear Storage Space and Check-out system to meet the needs of our participants and their families.
