Counselor Camp is an inspiring weekend of seminars and activities for Chemical Dependency Professionals who work with Adolescent and Young Adult Prevention, Intervention, Counseling and Treatment Systems.
This year's theme is "Staying Alive and Healthy: Embracing the Continuum of Adolescence". We will explore healthy development into, through and out of adolescence and how we as counselors and mentors can help young people complete this transition in a healthy and positive way.
Counselor Camp is sponsored by Rite of Passage Journeys, the Chemical Dependency Professionals of Washington State (CDPWS), and other local agencies. This event is designed to offer the best evidence-based theory and time-tested practice from a variety of professionals in our own backyard.
The beautiful camp setting and relaxed camaraderie also provide the opportunity for rest, renewal, and healing for those 'doing the work!'
13 Continuing Education credits will be available, including an optional track for 6 hours of Suicide Prevention credits.
Topics will include:
Suicide Prevention, 6 hours, Lindsay Palmer, Bellevue College Faculty
