"Sometimes one's path leads them back to where it all started... and then the Journey Continues."

"This trip has changed my life and empowered me to live my life to the fullest. I have made life-long friendships and I am truly thankful. Without Journeys, my life would be completely different." Alumni Participant 2008

Young participants learn a lot about themselves, nature, and living with other people during their 3-week Coming of Age Journey or Solo Crossing. Many wish they could go again to experience the journey at a deeper level. The Journey Continues program is designed to meet this need. It offers an intimate and intense opportunity to keep moving forward with self-knowledge and expression.

This journey is a safe place to learn about dealing with new challenges that arise for older teens. It continues the process of maturation among a community of mentors and peers who know how to be supportive and honest. Participants learn more about wilderness living skills, and reconnect with old friends they met in prior journeys.  They have the opportunity to "course correct," as they reflect on the vision they had for themselves on their 3-week Rite of Passage Journey and how that vision is manifesting in their lives now.

A unique aspect of the Journey Continues program is that participants help plan it. They give input on the itinerary, location and agenda of the trip, and assist with the preparation. They co-create the journey as a community.
