Get Involved with Rite of Passage Journeys
A short summary of various levels of involvement at Journeys.
Journeys offers inspiring community-building opportunities and events open to the general public. These provide ways for you to learn about our programs, and allow our staff, past participants, and the Journeys' community to reconnect with each other. They also provide meaningful ways to support our work, and assure that we are able to reach hundreds of youth, adults, and families every year!

Volunteer Opportunities
Our programs depend upon volunteers and financial donors. Their support is what keeps us energetically doing our work. There are a number of ways you can become involved, whether as a regular volunteer or an occasional one. Help us make a difference in the lives of youth and adults! We also hold work parties four times during the year to mobilize collective energy to complete essential tasks, while building community and having fun. Whether it's stuffing envelopes, splitting wood for the sweat lodge, planting trees or preparing basecamp for the upcoming summer -- we always appreciate help. Sweat Lodges draw on ancient pan-cultural traditions of using fire and steam for purification and prayer. join us to mark the turning of the seasons, share life transitions, and strengthen our community. Our lodges are by donation and open to the public. Please see our Upcoming Events Page for dates. To attend a sweat lodge with us you must contact us to receive logistical information.
