Ages 18+ | Dates TBA| Return to Community Workshops & Events

Our stories make up the world we live in. In Playback Theatre, we will venture into the wilderness within ourselves and discover the soul hidden in the story of everyday life.
In playback theater, you tell a story from your life and see the essence of simple moments enacted and revealed in front of you through improvised movement, sound and playacting. You will notice things you hadn’t noticed, feel things you hadn’t felt, and understand your story in a new way that revives its meaning for you. Others in the room also see parts of themselves reflected in your story, sharing a sense of belonging and connectedness.
In this workshop, you’ll
practice listening deeply to the storytellers, fellow actors and your own impulses to create a living reflection for that precious moment.
turn attention inward to something beyond language or thoughts (inner wilderness) and act from that place
Listen to and relate with the body through felt-sense
Practice being more fluid in creative expression
Come explore the wild edge of improvisation and storytelling and let the soul move through you!
All are welcome whether or not you have experience in improv, theater or other soulwork, including people who identify themselves as shy or introverted.
