Ages 18+ |  TBA, 2024  | Live In Person!
Return to Community Workshops & Events

The cacophony that exists in the world is abated by the rhythm of drum.
Into this ‘concert’ of patterned form, there exists an opportunity for heightened awareness,
reordering of thought patterns, and reordering of the body-mind-spirit-soul.” - Ben Dennis

Among the oldest and most sacred instruments known to human kind, drums have an unbroken lineage of ritual use, music, and communication. Drums allow us to connect with vibrancy and rhythm, and are part of virtually all storied, spiritual, and meditative traditions.

The creation and use of the drum is a deeply archetypal endeavor which favors a unique relationship with the world that is profoundly spiritual, physical, and personal.

In this one-day workshop, drummaker and storyteller Benjamin Dennis will guide you step-by-step through the process of making your own drum and drum beater. All of your drum and beater materials will be provided, as well as detailed care and tending instructions.

Accompanied by inspired storytelling, under Ben’s guidance, you will weave the elements together, and create an instrument capable of carrying your voice and your spirit into the world.

Enjoy a day of storytelling and drum creation with Ben Dennis, setting the stage to weave deeper ceremony and celebration into your life!
